Hakeem Nicks is latest football player to sign with Jordan Brand, Nike announced Wednesday. The New York Giants wide receiver is fresh from a Super Bowl victory and will be following his North Carolina roots by joining Michael Jordan’s stable of stars, including the likes of fellow Super Bowl champions Dwight Freeney and Charles Woodson.
As part of his new deal, Nicks will be rocking Jordan Brand gear exclusively on the field. When the Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys in the season opener Wednesday night, Nicks will be wearing a special colorway of the Jordan Super.Fly football cleats. The grey/blue/red colorway will include Nicks’ logo on the tongue of the cleats.

A first round selection of the Giants in 2009, Nicks holds numerous UNC football records that include most career receptions (181), most career TD receptions (21) and most single-season TD receptions (12). Entering his fourth season as a member of the New York Giants, Nicks boasts two seasons with over 70 receptions and 1,000 receiving yards as well winning Super Bowl XLVI.

Taking the field tonight against the Dallas Cowboys, Hakeem Nicks is expected to wear the Jordan Super.Fly cleat in gray/blue/red.
