Nicki Minaj has sent shockwaves around the web these past few days, after her verse from Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 tape revealed she was “a Republican voting for Romney”. Well because, “these lazy b*tches are f*ckin’ up the economy,” of course. No one has actually found out yet from the HB whether she said the line for shock value/to make a point about the competition, or if she’s truly going to be voting against everything someone who came from the bottom should believe in. However, Gawker did some digging and it turns out…she might not be voting at all, whether for Obama OR Romney! Why? Find out what they unearthed below!
Fact check: Mostly false. A search of voter rolls in California and New York, where Minaj maintains homes, comes up empty; which means that not only is Minaj not a registered Republican voting for Mitt Romney, she’s not voting at all unless she registers soon. (It’s also unclear whether or not Minaj, who was born in Trinidad and Tobago, is an American citizen.)
