Following Team USA’s 80-69 win over Brazil on Monday night, President Obama called Kobe Bryant a “competitor” and said he expects “a little trash-talking whenever the opportunity arises” for the Los Angeles Lakers guard.
Turns out, the President was right on the money.
After Obama was dealt a small dose of rejection when First Lady Michelle Obama turned him down on a kiss cam, Bryant took a shot at Obama.
“PDA is not for everybody, you know what I mean,” Bryant said.
Then he backpedaled a bit.
“But he makes the important decisions, so it’s all good.”
Obama disagreed with Bryant’s comments about the 2012 Team USA beating the 1992 Dream Team, pointing out that the Michael Jordan-led ’92 squad never trailed in a game like the U.S. men did Monday night.
