A load of new kicks has the team excited this week, as a wide variety of styles and colorways have surfaced throughout the past seven days. Check out what our crew picked in our weekly Nicks Kicks Staff Picks column and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

There were a lot of kicks I was choosing between for this week’s staff pick, but ultimately I had to go with the “MVP”  LeBron 9 custom by Mache. The gradient upper takes me back to the early 2000s (which I like), but it’s the gold leaf paneling that really set these off. I like the P.S. Elites a lot and it’d be cool to cop a custom or see Nike go a little more abstract with the colorways.

This is one of my favorite Air Max 90 colorways to surface in a while, and it just so happens that it’s made just for the ladies. I love the touches of mint candy coloring set against the royal blue. Definitely a perfect summer pair of classic Nike runners.

A few weeks ago, I chose the Captain America Reeboks as my staff pick and this week I stick with the comic book theme. Not a really a fan of the silhoutte but more of a fan of what’s to come next. With Comic-Con going on, I hope to see Reebok unveils more superhero inspired kicks from the Marvel Universe.

With the 2012 London Olympics set to kick off in the coming weeks, I don’t think there is a better “USA” themed silhouette than this Nike Lunar Hyperfuse+. Seen this week in a special LeBron James PE, this pair not only features the most advanced technology, but a great overall look.
