A Chinese woman was determined to stop at nothing to prevent her husband’s fatally wounded mistress from getting to the hospital. The jealous woman stripped off all her clothes and laid on the ground in front of the ambulance carrying the woman and her 4-year-old daughter, both critically injured. Zhang Shih, 38, allegedly hit the woman and child with her car last Sunday after a fight over the affair.
The mistress, whose last name is Wang, was riding her bike with the child on the back when Zhang’s car hit them head-on, Bejing Shots reports.
The unconscious child was taken out from underneath the car and put into the ambulance, but Zhang blocked it, determined to make every effort to stop the pair from getting treatment, the website reports. She didn’t budge even as armed police surrounded her and pointed guns at her, according to the Daily Mail.
The little girl died at the hospital. Her mother is in critical condition, Beijing Shots reported.
An investigation is still pending. Zhang, a university teacher from Linyi, Shangdong province in eastern China, faces charges of murder and attempted murder, punishable by the death penalty.
