The 49-year-old man was leaving a convenience store in Clarksville Saturday when he noticed a blue bank bag sitting on top of a trashcan. Inside was a wallet and $12,800 in cash, police said Monday.

“The part we thought was really funny,” Allen told the station, “there was a bottle of cologne in it.”

The owner has since called Allen to thank him, Allen told the Leaf Chronicle.
