Analysts have predicted that by 2015 Twitter will be bank 2 billion in revenue, to get a jump on their future earnings, Twitter moved into a bigger office space proably to employ more with the company’s growth.
After two and a half years, Twitter has moved out of its old office at 795 Folsom Street in San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood.
Employees filled their streams with tweets about the move on Friday.
Next stop: 1355 Market Street—what’s officially known as “Mid-Market,” but which some local wags have already dubbed the Twitterloin. (The Tenderloin, San Francisco’s Skid Row, starts on the other side of the street.)
Yammer, the social-enterprise software startup, and One King’s Lane, an online home-furnishings retailer, will be neighbors.
We assume the new offices are opening on Monday. We asked Twitter PR to confirm that, but haven’t heard back yet. (Then again, we emailed them pretty late last night, and we bet they’re tired from packing boxes!)
