Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves finally made their six-year relationship official on Saturday with a private Austin wedding.
Proving that everything really is bigger in Texas, the couple tied the knot in a ceremony at the 42-year-old actor’s sprawling estate which had been turned into a makeshift campground scattered with tents for guests to sleep in.
Just a few dozen close friends and family members were invited to the intimate affair.
The theme of the wedding was “island beach meets Texas” with yellow and orange colors, Entertainment Tonight is reporting. There were horseshoe pits, fire pits, washer pits and tether ball games to entertain the guests. Estancia Churrascaria, a Brazilian steak house, catered with a menu that included Brazilian top and bottom steak, chicken wrapped in bacon and pork sausages with cheese bread. The Magic Mike star and his beautiful Brazilian bride announced their engagement on Christmas Day, but say they have felt married for years.
“We have homes together, we have family together, we have kids, we’ve built a life together. So we’ve been living a married life this whole time,” Alves told ET Canada earlier this year.
The newlyweds have two children together, son Levi, 3, and daughter Vida, 2.
