American Idol’s ratings are dipping and FOX is not pleased.
We already knew that executives are planning on giving the singing show a make over — but now it sounds like Idol could be getting a full-fledged facelift!
The President of Fox Networks Group recently announced he was going to “throw all resources'” at improving the show’s ratings again.
The Prez was sure to remind people that Idol is STILL a “powerhouse.” He blabbed:
“This is still the number one non-sport show in the United States. I would say that any network executive in the country or probably in the world would love to be sitting up here, saying we have this franchise and we’re dealing with the fact that its ratings are off a bit.”
Still, FOX admits the show needs work. And, with a little bit of work:
“We are optimistic it’s going to continue on for 15, 16, 17 seasons.”
That’s all??? Just 4 more seasons???
We kinda always thought Idol would be around forever, like SNL, The Price Is Right and Girls Gone Wild infomercials!!
At least we can find solace in the fact that we have a few more seasons left!
