Its that time of the year when iPhones owners get all these rumors about what the next iPhone might be. All the rumors about size, the release date and what new features might come with the smartphone. Well here goes another one, until Apple confirms something (which they never do until they are ready to release their product)we are just have t wait.
One thing we pretty much know before the iPhone 5 release date is that the display size will change, and it seems a bigger screen is what the majority of consumers want for the 6th generation iPhone. We’ve had every generation and the size feels a little dated to us, although some of the sizes people are throwing around seem a little crazy considering Apple’s other products.
It’s fair to say not every iPhone owner, or potential buyers, own an iPad and iPhone although Apple’s future plans are likely to take their other products into consideration. Apple is very unlikely to launch a smaller 7-inch iPad and increase the iPhone display to 4 or 5-inches. These screen sizes are too close in our opinion, and is one reason Steve Jobs preferred a bigger 10-inch display on the iPad since the first generation launched.
What would make the perfect eye pleasing iPhone 5 display size? The current model is way below 4-inches, something other Android devices have been above for some time, and leaked parts put a possible iPhone 5 display at 4-inches or more. The latest rumor found on this iPhone website states the iPhone 5 would increase its display size to 4.1-inches in diagonal, although the width would not change and make the device taller. This concept sounds good but could lead to some problems with developers, which are discussed in the above article along with iPhone 5 camera specs thanks to pictures showing leaked parts.
If you are a mobile gamer and currently own an iPhone, what would the ideal screen size be for you on the next iPhone? We’d love to also hear from Android owners, especially considering they have options for bigger screens already that can start at a lower price than an iPhone would ever be.
