Forget the resurgent LeBron James and Miami or Kevin Durant and the rising Oklahoma City Thunder. The San Antonio Spurs, unbeaten during these NBA Playoffs, will win another NBA title, Charles Barkley said during TNT’s playoff coverage Sunday night.
Sir Charles predicted Tony Parker’s Spurs, fresh off their sweep of the Los Angeles Clippers, will remain unbeaten in the NBA Finals and win their 5th NBA crown:
This team is going to win the NBA Championship. They are the team to beat in the NBA and it’s going to be very difficult for any team to beat them.
TNT’s Shaquille O’Neal agreed, saying the Spurs “run almost every play to perfection.” Meanwhile, Barkley added Blake Griffin of the Clippers has to work on his game this off-season to become a more complete offensive threat:
This ‘Lob City’ thing is great for SportsCenter but you can’t win any games. I thought the Clippers might win a game [against San Antonio] but I’m not surprised they got swept because all their flaws showed.
