Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain was sentenced Thursday to 180 days in jail in Alabama.
McClain’s attorney, Harvey Steinberg, said McClain has filed a request for a jury trial and now, under state law, “the process starts all over again.”
Steinberg said he and McClain will be notified at a later date as to when the jury trial will begin.
McClain was arrested in November on misdemeanor assault, firearms and other charges after police said he fired a gun during a fight in his hometown of Decatur.
