Owwww! Yea, you see it! #GMEN!

The championship rings feature all four of the franchise’s Super Bowl trophies inside a ring of blue & will be given to the Super Bowl XLVI champions at a private ceremony at Tiffanys in Manhattan on Wednesday night. But punter Steve Weatherford provided his Twitter followers a sneak peek at the jewelry on Tuesday.

The ring, according to the picture provided to players, is made of 14-karat white gold and is covered with diamonds – and diamond footballs – surrounded by a sapphire band. In all there are 1.36 carats in diamonds and 1.11 carats in sapphires. The words “New York Giants 2011 World Champions” surround the face of the ring.

The design – which appears identical to the preliminary version Tweeted by Giants linebacker Clint Sintim and running back Andre Brown in late March – also features the Giants’ “ny” logo outlined in blue with the four Super Bowl trophies hovering behind it. The blue sapphires represent a big change from the rings the Giants earned by winning Super Bowl XLII after the 2007 season. Those rings had no color at all.

On one side of each of the Super Bowl XLVI rings will be each player’s name and number. The other side will feature “GIANTS” in block letters above the Super Bowl XLVI logo and the final score of the game (21-17).

And as Weatherford said in his Tweet: “She sure is pretty.”

The ring ceremony won’t be the last time the Giants celebrate their championship season together. The team has also been invited for the traditional champions’ visit to the White House as guests of President Barack Obama. A date for that has not been set, though it’s expected to take place next month.
