A BBC special will be airing a group of scientist who are working on the worlds oldest computer and trying to unlock its secrets.  The computer was discovered a 100 years ago in a Roman shipwreck. According to scientists the computer was said to “predict solar eclipses and calculate the timing of the ancient Olympics,”
The special will follow the scientists as they try to discover the inner workings of the device as they take dissect it piece by piece by taking over 300 pictures in different positions.  The scientists found 27 gears, but think that the complete mechanism likely held 50 to 60 gears to make the device function, the only problem is to figure out how the device worked
