Kobe Bryant missed shootaround Thursday prior to the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Denver Nuggets because of gastroenteritis.
Bryant’s stomach symptoms include pain and vomiting. He will be a game-time decision for Game 6, according to Lakers’ spokesman John Black.
“If any of your guys get sick, let alone Kobe, you’re concerned,” said Lakers coach Mike Brown.
While Brown had concern for Bryant’s well-being, there did not seem to be concern as to whether he would play or not.
“If I were a betting man — which I’m not, Commish,” Brown said laughing, “I would probably bet that he would play before he wouldn’t, but I don’t know how serious it is.”
Added Lakers forward Matt Barnes, who would likely move to the starting lineup if Bryant was indeed out: “Kobe’s playing. There’s no adjustment. He’ll be out here.”
The Lakers lead the series 3-2.
