There were rumors floating around that Michael Jordan wanted to sell the Bobcats if he couldn’t turn a profit soon. Â He then angrily denied that through a Bobcats press release. Â Now the rumor is he wants to sell half. Â Read more after the jump.
According to the New York Daily News:
“You want to buy half of the Bobcats? It’ll cost you $150 million. That’s what Michael Jordan is seeking, according to sources. So far, there are no takers.”
Despite that press release Jordan put out I actually believe this rumor. Â We all know how important money is to Jordan. Â As an owner of the Bobcats he was one of the main holdouts when there was an issue about the BRI split during the NBA lockout. Â Of course if he can’t turn a profit he’s going to want to sell the team, it’s common sense. Â Jordan might be the greatest player ever but he’s one of the worst GM’s and owner.
