Despite Kidd being 39-years-old and the Mavericks clearing the roster, sources say they intend to keep the veteran guard. Kidd has made it clear that he wants to play another season and stay with the Mavericks. They are reportedly trying to find a way to resign the vet who’s contract is up at the end of this season. The Mavericks still have to land their prized possession Deron Williams which isn’t a guarantee but either way they’ll still have Kidd as a backup point guard.
