According to NBC Miami, the FBI and Justice Department are examining the Trayvon Martin case to see if the Police Chief and Police department violated the federal civil rights of Martin. The incident is a state crime, so it is unlikely they are investigating the actions of George Zimmerman. Rather, they are reviewing the actions of legal officials.
