If you remember a few weeks back we announced the iconic “Otis Maybach” was finally set to hit the auction block. Well the auction lasted 5 minutes and fetched far less than anticipated. Hit the jump for more.
The car originally retailed for $350,000 and was expected to sell at auction for $100,000. The 5-minute auction ended with a $60,000 winning bid. The auction house listed the car as a work of art, rather than a working vehicle, which is the most likely reason for the price disparity.
