The FBI is currently investigating the disappearance of a woman who disappeared off of her Bahamas cruise ship. The woman is in her 40’s and was last spotted by her boyfriend, who she’s cruising with. The cruise ship will be continuing their schedule while investigators check a 900 mile radius from where the ship was. Read more below.
The FBI is investigating the disappearance of a Canadian woman aboard a Bahamas cruise.
While the U.S. Coast Guard continued searching for the 47-year-old woman in an area spanning 900 miles, an FBI spokesman said Thursday there was no additional information about her disappearance from the Bahamas Celebration.
Authorities say the woman’s boyfriend last saw her early Wednesday when he left her at a ship gift shop. The ship was returning from Freeport, Bahamas, to the Port of Palm Beach.
The man said he left the gift shop for the casino and then returned to their cabin. He alerted the ship’s crew when he awoke and realized she had not returned.
Celebration Cruise Line spokesman Glenn Ryerson says the ship resumed its cruise schedule and returned to sea Wednesday evening.
