The miracle of the internet has given us our first glimpse at the upcoming Jaguar XF Sportbrake. The Jaguar wagon is set to debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, but a few very convincing photos lifted from what appears to be a brochure have leaked in advance.
The vehicle looks to be identical to its four-door counterpart from the B-pillar forward, boasting the same sheetmetal we all know and love. Aft of that, however, the vehicle wears all new skin, complete with a somewhat awkward C-pillar and what appears to be a familiar black-trim treatment on the D-pillar. The Jaguar XJ employs a similar look on its rear, though the XF wagon’s looks to be highlighted with a chrome swoosh.
If this is actually the Jaguar XF Sportbrake, the vehicle isn’t as graceful as we’d hoped. Even so, we’re glad to see the company’s designers skipped a steeply raked roof in favor of what will likely be a useful cargo area. Inside, the rear seats fold flat to handle larger loads as well.
The XF wagon is likely to be a European model only, and will come boasting a range of turbo diesel powerplants. The standard naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 will likely also be an option, though no supercharged variant has been discussed as of yet.
