We all have heard the travel horror stories about airlines mangling luggage, losing bags and bumping passengers. Well according to a newly released Airlines of America report, things might be looking up. Hit the jump for more.
According to the report released Tuesday, 2011 marked the lowest number of mishandled bags since the Department of Transportation began tracking the figures in 1988. The report found 3.39 cases of mishandled bags per 1,000 passengers. Which is a drop from 3.51 in 2010. When it came to bumped flyers, 0.81 per 10,000 passengers were bumped in 2011, compared to 1.09 in 2010.
