The tragic mom who lost her three young daughters and parents in a Christmas Day blaze in Connecticut tried to take her own life. Honestly, I don’t even blame her. She feels like she has lost everything, all the money in the world wouldn’t make her feel better. Click below to read the rest of the story.

Madonna Badger, one of only two survivors of the fire at her waterfront mansion in Stamford, was hospitalized last week after injuring herself in a bid to end her terrible personal pain, a relative confirmed to the Daily News.

“She is okay. . . . She is out (of the hospital) and somewhere safe,” the relative said. “It’s just terrible — nobody could really hold up well under the circumstances.”

The suicide attempt was first reported by CBS2 Wednesday night.

Badger’s daughters, 9-year-old Lily and 7-year-old twins Grace and Sarah, died when fireplace embers that were ditched outside the home sparked a blaze that consumed the home.

Badger’s parents, Lomer and Pauline Johnson, also perished in the inferno, which led authorities to later raze the residence.

The heartbroken mother eulogized her little girls during an emotional funeral service — and gave the measure of her emotional turmoil. “When I used to hear about people losing a child, I would say I could never, ever, ever live through losing my babies.”

The relative said she was not shocked that the tragedy led Badger to attempt to take her life.

“She seemed to be coping better at the funeral, better than I ever could,” the relative said.

“But once all of that is gone and you’re left to face what’s happened, it’s terrible,” she added.

Badger and her boyfriend, Michael Borcina, the contractor who was renovating the $1.7 million home, escaped the fire without serious injury.
