Would Katy Perry and Tim Tebow be a match made in heaven?  Well Katy Perry’s parents hope so.  Before she kissed a girl, superstar Katy Perry sang in her church choir and her devout Christian parents want to hook her up with fellow Christian Tim Tebow.  Read more after the jump.

Katy Perry recently split from Russell Brand, which made her parents extremely happy since they weren’t fond of his drug problems and previous sexual exploits.  Of course they prefer Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow a devout virgin Christian.  According to an insider “Katy’s mom firmly believes the best cure for heartache is to quickly fall in love again, in her mind, Tebow is the perfect guy for her daughter. He’s handsome, charming, intelligent and, above all, a good Christian.” Indeed. The Denver Broncos starter has been dubbed “God’s quarterback” and openly prays on the field, a move fans call “Tebowing.”  “Katy’s parents watch him play all the time and think he’s ideal husband material,” says the insider. “He’s the complete opposite of Russell.”

Katy’s parents aren’t just praying for the union to happen, they’re taking action.  According to OK Magazine they are reportedly inviting Tim to speak at their church, The Sanctuary, in Huntington Beach, Calif., where Katy used to sing in the choir. “Katy will be there, too!” says another source. “She’s mentioned on more than one occasion how much she likes Tim.”

I don’t know if the union will happen but it seems a little odd to me, I don’t think Katy is the same girl from her choir singing days.
