A taxi driver who police say raped a passenger at knifepoint in Brooklyn was arrested Monday. Click below to read the rest of the story.
Gurmeet Singh, 40, of Queens was hit with charges including rape, robbery and sex abuse in the alleged May 6, 2011, attack on a 26-year-old passenger in the back of a yellow cab in Williamsburg.
The hack stole the victim’s cell phone and $20 cash and sped off in the cab after he raped her, police said.
Police said they matched Singh’s DNA to forensic evidence they recovered.
