It appears the compact SUV is becoming the newest battle ground for the North American automotive marketplace and Buick wants to be ahead of the curve with the all-new Encore.

According to Ed Welburn, Vice President, Global Design for General Motors – “Encore is simply the ‘Right Size’ for the times, satisfying many customers’ desire to simplify their life and be more efficient.”

With a platform about the size of a Pontiac Vibe, the Encore adds a lot of punch in a small package with lots of luxury content including:

Blue-accented projector-beam headlamps and detailed tail lamps

18-inch, five-spoke painted aluminum wheels are standard

Full-color, seven-inch LCD display for the IntelliLink voice-activated radio system

Rear Camera Systems

Signature cues include a waterfall grille, chrome accents and surrounds, portholes on the hood and painted lower panels. Without question it is stylish and good looking!

Encore is ready to do battle with the Volkswagen Tiguan, Mazda CX-5 and Ford Escape with luxury at its side and a sound price point. Hands down Encore looks more contemporary that all three of these vehicles.
