The NFL isn’t the only thing Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is taking by storm this football season. He’s got the Fathead market pretty well-cornered, too.
Check the pic after the jump…
The former Florida Gators standout has been the story so far in the NFL this season, and his on-field play has quickly made him one of the league’s most popular players.
In rejuvenating the Broncos, Tebow has managed to captivate both rabid fans and passionate detractors alike.
That general likeability, combined with his ritual of kneeling to pray before, during and after games, led to the birth of Tebowing.com — a site for fans to upload images of themselves kneeling like their favorite player.
And if that wasn’t enough, there’s now a Tebowing Fathead.
For $100, fans can buy a 4-foot-5 by 4-foot-8 image of Tebow in his “Tebowing” pose.
The Tebowing image is just the latest in a line of successful Tebow decals for Fathead, a Detroit-based company owned by Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert. The site also sells four other Tebow Fatheads, including two featuring Tebow in Florida Gators gear.
And certainly Tebow has earned the praise — and the Fatheads.
He won a Heisman Trophy and two National Championships at Florida — that success earned him the two Gators Fatheads — and since taking over as the Denver starter on Oct. 23 against the Miami Dolphins, Tebow has led the Broncos to a 7-1 record and to the top of the AFC West.
The second-year quarterback has completed 96 of 198 passes for 1,290 yards, 11 touchdowns and just two interceptions this season, and he’s been getting it done with his legs, as well.
In 11 games this season, Tebow has carried the ball 94 times for 517 yards and three touchdowns, including a 13-carry, 118-yard game against Oakland in Week 9.
Many analysts predict that the Tebow honeymoon will soon come to an end — possibly as soon as this Sunday against New England — but until it does, Fathead is making the most of Tebow’s marketability, and rightfully so.
