ESPN’s Erin Andrews has filed a lawsuit against the Nashville Marriott hotel, where she was taped naked through a peephole in 2008, according to a report in The Tennessean on Tuesday.

Michael David Barrett, an Illinois insurance man, was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in jail in 2010 for taping her at different locations around the country – one being Nashville, where Andrews was for a Vanderbilt football game.

The report said that Andrews is suing for $10 million – $6 million from the hotel and $4 million from Barrett – for invasion of privacy, negligence and infliction of emotional stress.

According to the report, Andrews has sued the Nashville hotel because an employee allegedly told Barrett what room the sideline beauty was staying in, allowing him to secure the room next door.

“We updated our guest registration procedures to further enhance guest privacy,” Marriott spokesman Jeff Flaherty said, according to the report.

Andrews has since appeared on “Dancing With the Stars” and had her role at ESPN increased to include hosting the earlier portion of “College GameDay” on ESPNU.

We’re sure her career – and bank account – will be fine whether she wins the suit or not, but she no doubt still deals with the effect of Barrett’s stalking every day.
