The Eagles and Giants have a bitter rivalry and now the Eagles are without two of their biggest stars.  Michael Vick and Jeremy Maclin have been ruled out for the Eagles’ game at the New York Giants on Sunday night.  Read more after the jump.
Vick didn’t practice this week because of two broken ribs sustained in a 21-17 loss to Arizona last Sunday. He was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report, but the team announced Saturday he will not make the trip to New York.
Vince Young will make his first start for Philadelphia in Vick’s place. Vick was injured on the second play against the Cardinals, but played the rest of the game.
Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin also won’t play because of shoulder and hamstring injuries.
The Eagles (3-6) desperately need a victory over the first-place Giants (6-3) to avoid being all-but-mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.
