The A1 has grown another two doors. Audi has just unveiled a new five-door version of the hatchback designed to give European buyers a little more flexibility when it comes to moving people and cargo. Like its thee-door counterpart, the new model will be available with a total of six engine options, including three gasoline mills and three diesel lumps when it arrives in show rooms early next year.

The most powerful of those engines is a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder good for 185 horsepower, and buyers willing to lay down the cash can opt for the company’s six-speed S Tronic transmission.
