As we reported over the weekend, hip-hop legend Erick Sermon suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized, but doing fine. Now with an update in the health scare, we have learned that he’s still being treated in the Long Island hospital. Super scary but at least he is ok! Details below.
(AHH) – The rapper, known for his production work and as half of EPMD, is recovering and is expected to be released later this week.
Both PMD, Sermon’s rap partner, and DJ Scratch, the group’s DJ, have confirmed that he’s recovering well.
Erick Sermon, 42, has been heralded as an icon in Hip-Hop, one that has experienced success as a soloist and a within EPMD.
Those close to the Long Island native attributed the heart attack to extremely high blood pressure.
