Siri, the awesomely sassy new voice-control feature that launched with Apple’s iPhone 4S handset, is apparently experiencing its very first mass outage.

TechCrunch reports that, currently, when 4S users try querying the usually helpful virtual assistant, Siri responds thus: “Sorry, I am having trouble connecting to the network.”

According to iSmashPhone, users have taken to Twitter to report that the outage.

Indeed, a Twitter search reveals that users across the U.S. are experiencing problems with Siri.

According to Venture Beat, explains that the problem is likely a network-related issue.

“To function properly, Siri must communicate with one of Apple’s servers for additional information,” writes VentureBeat. “So for example, when you ask Siri what the weather is like in Nashville, Tenn., it plays an elaborate game of telephone with a main database of information and then updates you with the answer.”
