The suspect walked into a Bedford-Stuyvesant building where the victim worked and attacked her shortly after noon, cops said Thursday.

But the woman was able to fend off the assailant, forcing him to run away.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video lurking outside the building, tinkering with his drawers, but it was not clear if the footage was filmed before or after the attack.

Police described the suspect as black, in his late 20s, about 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a black baseball cap and a blue-and-white buttoned down shirt under a black jacket.

Police officials said investigators do not believe the suspect is responsible for the string of more than a dozen sex attacks in Brooklyn over the last few months.

Police ask anyone with information to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers tipline at 800-577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.
