Robin Williams had a license to wed and wasn’t afraid to use it.
The Oscar-winning funnyman tied the knot Sunday with graphic designer Susan Schneider at Meadowood Resort in the Napa Valley, Calif., town of St. Helena.
“Let the wedding madness begin!” tweeted Williams’ daughter Zelda the night before the ceremony.
And she wasn’t just referring to her dad’s massive beard, which he grew for his role as the tiger in Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo on Broadway.
In addition to Zelda, 22, Williams’ sons Zachary, 28, and Cody, 19, were also there to support their pops, and longtime Williams pals such as Billy Crystal, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg were rumored to be on the guest list.
This is the third trip down the aisle for Williams, who separated from second wife Marsha after 19 years together in 2008.
He met Schneider not long before undergoing emergency heart surgery in March 2009, and she nursed him through his recovery, according to the groom’s own account of their courtship.
Schneider told the San Francisco Chronicle that both she and her husband-to-be were “so excited and so thrilled” about their pending nuptials.
