Social Security will keep spoon-feeding disability checks to a California man who wears a giant diaper and lives as an “adult baby.”
Stanley Thornton Jr. says that the federal agency has cleared him of wrongdoing after a probe into his disability claims began after his bizarre appearance on National Geographic television earlier this year.
Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) called for a review of Thorton’s benefits after the National Geographic show “Taboo” showed Thorton wearing baby jammies, suckling from a bottle and sleeping in a giant crib – but also working to build an adult-sized highchair, The Washington Times reported.
Coburn’s spokesman John Hart told The Times that the senator was baffled by how “a grown man who is able to design and build adult-sized baby furniture is eligible for disability benefits.”
