We all saw what wonders Weight Watchers did for actress Jennifer Hudson…helping her to shed over 80 pounds…and now she’s gotten behind them even more and opened up her own branch in her hometown of the Chi!
Weight Watchers says it’ll donate a portion of the center’s revenue to a foundation in honor of Hudson’s late nephew, Julian King. In October 2008, the bodies of Hudson’s mother and brother were found in the family’s home.
Chicago Alderman Will Burns, Jennifer Hudson, Michael Basone, chief technology officer of Weight Watchers International and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel all attended the grand opening yesterday.
