Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson scored on a one-yard run with two seconds left in the first quarter today, breaking the team record he had shared with Chuck Foreman for career rushing touchdowns.
The touchdown, Peterson’s 53rd, broke a scoreless tie against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Metrodome in the Vikings’ home opener.
Peterson scored again in the second quarter on a 9-yard run. It was a 9-yard run.
