CBS will revisit its film 9/11, first broadcast in 2002, including new interviews with firefighters and others who were part of the first film.

The Peabody Award-winning film contains the only known footage of the first plane striking the World Trade Center and footage inside the towers after the planes hit. De Niro was host of the original special nine years ago and will visit the 9/11 memorial to show the progress on the site’s rebuilding.

With one camera down at the tower and another camera filming at the firehouse, we as viewers are witnessing reactions and emotions of the first rescuers that answered the call. Scenes from inside the tower as it collapsed on the firefighters and then scenes of them as they found their way to the street will have you holding your breath.
