This event seems like it will be very cool. I only just learned of “pop-up shops” when Jay and Ye had one for Watch the Throne, and I missed that one but I’ll be sure to catch this! Find out the details below.

The BRISK Bodega pilot program is set to come to life in New York City on September 17th, 2011, featuring a pop-up bodega experience/gallery, as well as a one-time only Shady Records live exhibit. Hosted at 159 Bleecker Street in Manhattan’s West Village, the venue will be open to the public during the day from 11 AM to 5 PM, showcasing a never-before-seen collection of Shady Records’ historic memorabilia, the physical set from the highly successful Brisk Super Bowl TV spot (featuring a “claymated” Eminem puppet), artwork from a Tristan Eaton-designed Yelawolf tour bus, as well as custom bodega-inspired art from New York artist ArtekNYC. In the evening, the BRISK Bodega will host a special, invite-only event featuring performances by Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse, as they prepare to release their debut Shady offerings on the label.

More details on the BRISK Bodega and how to gain access to the concert will be revealed via the BRISK Bodega Tumblr (www.briskbodega.com) and community manager Elliott Wilson of RapRadar.com. The BRISK Bodega experience celebrates the revival of two brands who’ve historically influenced pop culture. A unique experience at the intersection of brands and music culture, the BRISK Bodega connects Shady fans, the art community and hip-hop culture through an initiative of a new incantation.
