Eliot Spitzer and David Paterson are again atop the ticket – this time for Paterson’s inaugural broadcast Tuesday on WOR radio.
The hooker-happy Spitzer, who turned over the job of governor to Paterson when he resigned amid a sex scandal in March 2008, will be the first guest on “The David Paterson Show,” airing weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Paterson predicts a boffo segment with Spitzer.
“The former governor and I always had fun, needling each other, always joking about things,” Paterson told The News.
Spitzer is the first of numerous big-name guests committed to appear during the first week of Paterson’s show – a gig he readied for during numerous fill-in spots on WOR and WFAN sports talk radio.
Former NYPD top cop Bill Bratton will make an appearance, as will Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-Harlem) and ex-Mayor Ed Koch.
Paterson won’t stray far from politics on Day 1 of his show – he’ll moderate a half-hour debate between Democrat David Weprin and GOPer Bob Turner in the race to replace disgraced ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner.
Turner trusts Paterson to be a straight shooter, even though he’s pals with Weprin.
“I assured him my responsibility is not to Weprin, but to the public,” Paterson said. “If I came out and favored Weprin it would look stupid.”
