Find out what woman is beating some of the world’s most known names after the jump.
Lady Gaga just landed on Forbes’ annual World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list, ranking higher than quite a few other famous females we know and love.
So, where exactly did she place?
While the “Born This Way” songstress came in at No. 11, no entertainment-related celebs actually made it into the top 10, which was dominated by the likes of Hillary Clinton (No. 2) and Michelle Obama (No. 8), with German Chancellor Angela Merkel holding down the top spot.
But Gaga did beat out such pop culture folks as Oprah Winfrey (No. 14), Beyoncé (No. 18), Angelina Jolie (No. 29), Ellen DeGeneres (No. 55), Gisele Bündchen (No. 60) and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.
“Lady Gaga wears the crown of Forbes 2011Most Powerful Celebrity,” the magazine said in a statement. “It’s a title she’s made good on both in dollar signs and massive constituency. She raked in $90 million over the past year. In July, Gaga became the first Twitter user to reach 12 million followers…[and] her Facebook page has 36 million fans.” (Not to mention, she surfs!)
Oh, and as for Queen Elizabeth II, she did manage to break through the top 50 and take the No. 49 spot.
