The Santa Ana, California property manager has been making headlines after undergoing an $8,000 two-hour breast implant surgery July 22.
Kolstad on Thursday told Good Morning America she was inspired to get the implants after looking in the mirror and seeing “an old lady’s body” staring back at her, spurring her to take action to look and feel younger.
“Physically, I’m in good health, and I just feel like, why not take advantage of it?” Kolstad said.“It’s something you dream about. I just wanted nice ones. I didn’t want anything outlandish or out of place. Now, they are firmer and rounder.
“It was more about looking in the mirror and liking who I am. This seemed like a simple way to go and I didn’t think it was a big deal.â€
Kolstad said many of her family members — some of whom refused to speak with ABC for the package — were against the procedure, citing the dangers of putting their matriarch under anesthesia, as well as loss of blood and other complications stemming from her age.
Asked her thoughts if she died on the operating table, Kolstad joked,”I’d probably look good in my casket — didn’t have to stuff it!”
Asked if she was familiar with the term cougar, Kolstad said it’s primarily used to describe women in the 40s.
So what would Kolstad call her new busty self?
“I don’t know, what would you call the next one, a lion?”
Kolstad said she’s eager to show off her newly-enhanced bust on an upcoming Hawaiian vacation.
