Former Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom was shot in the leg during a home invasion in Alabama early Monday. Police reportedly have identified a suspect and are currently looking for him.

Odom suffered a minor flesh wound in his thigh and is in stable condition, Donnie Atkinson, a public relations official who has worked with Odom in the past, told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

“That is all we would like to comment on at the present,” Atkinson texted.

According to media reports, police said the suspect fired two shots with a shotgun after entering Odom’s home through an unlocked door around 4:30 a.m. ET. One shot hit the wall and the other hit Odom’s thigh.

WKRG-TV in Mobile, Ala., reported that Odom has been released from the hospital.

Odom is a free agent currently rehabbing a wrist injury suffered last season. He was released by the Bengals last month.
