Beaumont’s Kendrick Perkins was arrested on misdemeanor charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct by Beaumont police officers.

Details of the arrest have not been released, but Perkins has since bonded out of the Jefferson County Jail after paying the $150 bond on each charge, according to an employee at the jail.

Perkins, who plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder, was in town to play in a celebrity exhibition game Friday along with Stephen Jackson, a Port Arthur native who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks.

The game, which was set to be at  Ozen High School, was canceled because Perkins, Jackson, Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder), James Harden (Oklahoma City Thunder) and Eric Maynor (Oklahoma City Thunder) did not show up to play.

A spokesperson said Friday Perkins was dehydrated and under doctor’s orders to stay at home; representatives did not specify why Durant, Harden and Maynor were not in attendance.
