Giants fans began venting their frustration on twitter because of the lack of offseason player acquisitions. After news broke that Steve Smith was leaving the Gmen for the Eagles – Everyone took to Twitter (including myself wondering if the Giants knew that the lockout was over ie. Plax, Boss, Smith & more) to let the Giants know what they thought.

There are generally three schools of thoughts on how to respond to Twitter critics: ignore them, passive aggressively retweet the comments while throwing in a bon mot to sound intellectually superior or resort to name calling. New York Giants vice president of communications Pat Hanlon subscribes to the last one.  Check some of the tweets after the jump…
