Jamaica is very adament about no cursing or sexual dance movements during their live concerts and artists try pretty hard to avoid the fine they’ll slap you with if you do so. Nicki even said so herself before her performance started that she was trying not to curse. I guess it didn’t work out very well as the HB was fined $1000 following her show! Details after the jump,
Having been charged for an expletive-laced performance on the closing night of the just-concluded Reggae Sumfest, American pop act Nicki Minaj, pleaded guilty and paid the J$1000 fine.
The rapper, who did not appear in court, was represented by local attorney Hugh Thompson, who entered an ex parte guilty plea on behalf of his client and paid the corresponding fees for the use of the expletives.
