I recently attended an event here in New York that was hosted by Federated Media Publishing called the Conversational Marketing Summit. It featured a great line-up of speakers including will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas, celebrity chef Rachael Ray and visionaries from some of the biggest and most influential companies on the planet including Google, Facebook, Microsoft, GM, Visa, Pepsi, American Express and Twitter. It was really inspiring to hear from so many industry visionaries firsthand.
When not producing fantastic events, the folks at Federated Media Publishing create conversational marketing and advertising programs for companies like those listed above. They also represent the best sites on the Independent Web including Apartment Therapy, Boing Boing, Uncrate, ReadWriteWeb, dooce, Foodbuzz and VentureBeat to name a few. These are sites that aren’t part of a major media company but have what they consider exceptional content, design and fan engagement.
At the event I met up with a guy named James Navin from their business development team to talk about the type of writing we do here on In Flex We Trust. They really liked what our entire team does here and were impressed with the variety of content we cover, so we started talking about possibly working together.
With that back-story in mind, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve entered into an agreement with Federated Media to have them represent us! The content we cover won’t change, but we will continue to expand the topics. Stay tuned!
