Capcom held a panel this morning to talk about the recently-announced Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and the company shared a few tidbits about how the game is changing for the new version. It took a total of nine minutes before Capcom lead producer Ryota Niitsuma acknowledged the character leaks, joking that “there’s a lot of cool stuff in this game, and I’m sure you know all about it.”

But while the leaked characters weren’t talked about at the panel, Niitsuma did mention a few of the gameplay tweaks. The X-factor move in the game can now be used either on the ground or in the air, and he said that many players would “have to revamp your whole fighting strategy” on that one.

Capcom also revealed that each character, including the older ones, will have two new costumes in the game, and they shared some of the special pre-order bonus costumes for the game. Above, you can see the Best Buy bonuses (including “Graceland Modok” — “nobody here said Elvis,” the panelists joked), and the rest are after the break.

Best Buy’s also got the Super Skrull variant from Marvel’s Annihilation storyline, the STARS version of Wesker, and a very special C.Viper costume that Capcom said was “the final character designed by a Capcom legend” that they’d reveal more about later on.

Amazon.com will have Strider dressed up in his NES garb, a traditional Sentinel costume, Dr. Doom’s getup from a comic series called Doomwar, and Cyber Akuma from the original Marvel vs. Street Fighter game.

And GameStop’s pre-order will provide the Morlock version of Storm, an X-23 variant from the X-Men Evolution TV series, Chun-li’s garb from Street Fighter Alpha, and what Capcom called “Casual Friday Morrigan,” featuring Morrigan in a business casual suit ready to hit the nearest Applebee’s.
