The ABC show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” confirms Mrs. Obama will appear as a guest star working on behalf of military families.
She will travel to Fayetteville, N.C., Thursday to work on the renovation of a community center for homeless female veterans. The trip is part of the first lady’s ongoing “Joining Forces” initiative in support of military families and those in uniform.
According to ABC, the show is set to focus on veteran Barbara Marshall, founder of the center and a former military chaplain. The first lady is expected to help build a new center, work on a specific greenhouse project and help with a children’s playhouse. She will also take part in a special project in honor of Marshall.
ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” performs renovations for families, individuals and groups who have experienced hardships.
