A Bronx man whose mother found him stabbed to death inside his home was killed by his cousin, cops said.

Alexander Arriola, 30, of the Bronx, was arrested Monday and charged in the murder of Brian Arriola, 31.

Brian Arriola was studying at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and dreamed of becoming a lawyer, his grief-stricken family said. He worked as a school-bus driver.

“He was a beautiful young man making wonderful progress in his life,” said the victim’s uncle Rudy Avalos, 49. “Right now, we’re just too hurt. We’re in shock.”

Brian Arriola’s mother was outside the family’s home on St. Marys St. on Sunday night when Alexander Arriola stopped by, relatives said.

After the visitor left, the victim’s mother found her son’s lifeless body in his bedroom, stabbed in the neck.

A source close to the family said the cousins may have fought over a woman. But relatives said Brian Arriola never made enemies.

“All he did was go to work, go to school and come home,” said another uncle, Edwin Lorenzo, 40.

Relatives gathered at the family’s home yesterday. “He wanted to bring his family together from all over the country for a family reunion,” Lorenzo said of the victim. “Unfortunately, this is how he accomplished it.”
